Airmonitor Plus includes a built-in audible alarm that sounds when air quality exceeds preset thresholds.
You can enable or disable this alarm directly on the device or in the Breathe Tech App settings at any time.
Important: The device alarm and app notifications are separate features. Turning the device alarm on or off does not affect notifications sent to your phone.
Device Alarm vs App Notifications
The Airmonitor Plus provides two different types of alerts:
Device Alarm
The device alarm is an audible beep that sounds from the Airmonitor Plus when CO₂ or PM2.5 levels exceed the alarm thresholds configured in the Breathe Tech app.
App Notifications
App notifications are alerts sent directly to your smartphone through the Breathe Tech app.
Like the device alarm, they use the CO₂ and PM2.5 thresholds configured in the app. However, app notifications continue to work even if the audible device alarm is turned off.
If you want to change when alerts are triggered, see Setting App Notifications.
Turn the Device Alarm On or Off
- Make sure the Airmonitor Plus is powered on.
- Press the rear multifunction button twice quickly.
- The audible alarm will toggle between On and Off.
- The alarm icon on the display indicates whether the audible alarm is enabled.
Changing the Alarm Thresholds
The alarm trigger levels for CO₂ and PM2.5 are configured in the Breathe Tech app.
To change the thresholds:
- Open the Breathe Tech app.
- Select your Airmonitor Plus.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap CO₂ Alarm Value or PM2.5 Alarm Value.
- Use the slider to choose your preferred alarm threshold.
- Tap Confirm to save the new setting.
Any changes you make to these thresholds apply to both:
- The audible alarm on the Airmonitor Plus.
- App notifications sent to your smartphone.
The only difference is whether the audible alarm is enabled or disabled on the device.
Frequently Asked Questions
I turned the alarm off but I'm still receiving notifications on my phone.
This is normal.
Turning off the device alarm only disables the audible beep from the Airmonitor Plus. It does not disable app notifications.
I changed the CO₂ or PM2.5 threshold in the app. Does this affect the device alarm?
Yes. The thresholds you configure in the Breathe Tech app are used by both the audible device alarm and app notifications.
I turned off app notifications but the monitor still beeps.
This is also normal.
Disabling app notifications does not turn off the audible device alarm. Press the rear multifunction button twice quickly if you also want to disable the audible alarm. You can also turn the alarm on/off in the Breathe Tech App settings.
