Airmonitor Plus includes a Screen Sleep feature to help extend battery life when running on battery power.
When enabled, the display automatically turns off after a period of inactivity. The monitor continues measuring air quality, logging data and syncing with the Breathe Tech app, only the display turns off.
Why Use Screen Sleep?
Screen Sleep helps reduce power consumption while keeping your Airmonitor Plus fully operational.
This is particularly useful when using the monitor on battery power or when you don't need the display to remain on continuously.
Enable Screen Sleep
- Open the Breathe Tech app.
- Select your Airmonitor Plus.
- Tap Settings.
- Toggle Screen Sleep On.
- Select Screen Sleep Delay.
- Use the slider to choose how long the display remains on before sleeping (10–300 seconds).
- Tap Confirm too save the setting.
Wake the Display
When the screen has turned off, simply wave your hand 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) in front of the proximity sensor above the display.
The display will wake automatically so you can view the latest readings.
When Should I Use Screen Sleep?
Using battery power
We recommend enabling Screen Sleep to maximise battery runtime while moving the monitor around your home or workplace.
Using USB power
If your Airmonitor Plus is plugged into power for continuous monitoring, you may prefer to leave Screen Sleep turned Off so the display remains visible at all times.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Screen Sleep stop the monitor from measuring air quality?
No. The Airmonitor Plus continues monitoring air quality, recording data and syncing with the app while the display is asleep. Only the screen turns off.
Will Screen Sleep improve battery life?
Yes. Turning off the display reduces power consumption and can significantly extend battery runtime when operating on battery power.
Is Screen Sleep enabled by default?
No. Screen Sleep is disabled by default, so the display remains on continuously until you choose to enable it in the app.
