In most cases, connecting your Airmonitor Plus takes under 30 second, just follow the steps below. That said, some networks and phone settings can cause hiccups. If pairing doesn’t complete, check our Wi-Fi Troubleshooting Guide or get in touch with support and we’ll help you sort it quickly.
Before you start, you will need
- A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (Airmonitor Plus doesn’t connect to 5 GHz).
- Your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
- Make sure your phone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz network you’ll use for the device.
Step 1 - Get the app
- Download Breathe Tech from the Apple App Store or Google Play - see article for help.
- Open the app and sign in or create an account.
Step 2 - Put the Airmonitor Plus into Wi-Fi connection mode
- First-time power-up: When you turn the device on, the Wi-Fi icon should flash - this indicates connection mode.
- If the icon isn’t flashing:
- Power off the monitor.
- Press and hold the rear Multi-Function Button for ~10 seconds until you see the display come on, hear a beep, and the Wi-Fi icon starts flashing.
- Release the button.
Step 3 - Add the device in the app
- Open the Breathe Tech app and tap “+” Add Device.
- Select Airmonitor Plus when it appears.
- Follow the on-screen steps to enter your Wi-Fi password and begin pairing.
- Wait for the app to confirm the connection.
Step 4 - You’re connected
Once pairing completes, your Airmonitor Plus will show online in the app and begin updating readings.
Tips for a first-try success
- Stand within a few feet of the monitor and your router.
- If you have a mesh or combined 2.4/5 GHz SSID, temporarily move a little farther from the router (to bias 2.4 GHz) or use a dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID.
- Avoid VPNs, captive portals (hotel/guest logins), or enterprise networks (WPA2-Enterprise).
- Double-check that the Wi-Fi password is correct (case-sensitive).
